Mama Mia: Experience Authentic Italian Delights in Baraboo

We just love this place. Very very tasty and affordable. The sweet family are Italian and so helpful and friendly. We go as often as we can when we are in the area. Our favorites are the pizzas; which are chewy and cheesy and generous in size, those amazing garlic knots and any of the pasta dishes. Love it .

I was shopping at the square in Baraboo last Saturday with my kid, when we became very hungry. We popped in for lunch at Mama Mia without any knowledge of the restaurant. It was about 11:30 am and the dining room was nearly empty, which gave me pause - but the place was very clean and smelled amazing, so we stayed. There was a pleasant young man who seated us and took our order - while an older employee milled about and chatted with the other customers. I think the "I'm not interested in small talk" vibes I exude were picked up on. Everyone is different, and I understand the intent was positive. I'm cool with servers asking if they can get me anything and if everything is tasting alright, but visiting with strangers isn't for me. Still, not a deal breaker. Mama Mia's menu has some standard Italian options, but I can't speak to their quality. The pizza is solid A tier, so I might expect the same from their pasta. There's nothing overly fancy about Mama Mia, and that's perfectly fine. We ordered the smallest size sausage pizza and it was big enough that we took half home. The price, quality and flavor were such that I will definitely be back.

The atmosphere feels incredibly authentic. The food is so delicious. I have now eaten here twice. Pizza is delicious. Pasta is to die for! I would recommend to try multiple dishes.

Cozy little atmosphere. Family focused by a family-operated business. They treat you well and work very hard to give you a welcomed feast. You NEVER leave hungry.

Pizza is very good here. The crust is the best I have tasted. Lots of cheese. Staff is friendly and very attentive. It is worth the drive into town. Better than the food at the tourist traps outside town and at the outlets. Explore Baraboo this is a wonderful town with lots of things to do. Dont miss the Circus World Museum.

Absolutely fantastic spot for a meal with the family. The Pizza was great, we also enjoyed the cheese bread, breaded mushrooms and a Caesar salad. The staff was incredibly friendly too. Will definitely be back again soon. Highly recommend.

Yum! We each got a 14" pizza and it's almost enough for 3 meals each. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The vibe at the restaurant was nice. You could tell a lot of people come here regularly.

Great food, and even better people! Family-run business with delicious homemade food in a charming historical location. I mainly go for a quick slice of pizza if I’m working, but I also love their pasta- even better when you order what the owner recommends! And my picky eater thinks they have the best chicken strips in town!
